Week 30 – July 19, 2026 through July 25, 2026 This Week: Brothers, So much of our battle as men is won or lost in the quiet place of the mind, long before anything shows up in our words or…

You may picture yourself as a spiritual cowboy, tough and alone—but Scripture calls you a runner in a pack and a soldier in a line. Isolation isn’t heroic; it’s hazardous.

Week 29 – July 12, 2026 through July 18, 2026 This Week: Brothers, This week we’re invited to hear and obey a gentle but searching word from the Lord: “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things…

The Bible is not vague about why prayers sometimes go unanswered. It names specific barriers that block our prayers: cherished sin, broken marriages, unforgiveness, selfish motives, coldness toward the poor, doubt, injustice, disregard for God’s law, and even hypocritical fasting. These are not abstract ideas; they are real patterns that shape a man’s life. When we live this way, God hides his face and refuses to listen, not because he has stopped loving us, but because he loves us too much to reward our hypocrisy. The good news is that every barrier Scripture names can be repented of and removed. When we face these hindrances honestly, confess our sins, seek reconciliation, and reorder our lives around God’s Word, we discover again what it means to pray with a clear conscience and a confident heart before the God who hears.

Week 27 – July 5, 2026 through July 11, 2026 This Week: Brothers, Every day, someone is trying to tell us what to think, what to value, and what to chase. Screens, news, expectations at work, even the stories we…

There is a moment — maybe at a Fourth of July ceremony, or when the national anthem plays, or when you drive past a veteran's grave — when love of country rises in your chest and feels almost sacred. That feeling is not a lie. The question worth asking is not whether to feel it, but what to do with it once it arrives. Patriotism is a legitimate, God-honoring love. But it becomes a spiritual trap the moment it ascends above its proper place in the hierarchy of loyalties that Jesus Christ demands.

Week 25 – June 14, 2026 through June 20, 2026 This Week: Brothers, As we roll into week 27, we’re not just turning a page on the calendar, we’re turning a corner in focus. The first half of the year…

In the spiritual warfare that defines the Christian life, Psalms 35, 3, and 60 rise from the pages of Scripture like war songs echoing across ancient battlefields. They carry the fierce prayers of a warrior king who understood that spiritual battles require divine intervention and that righteous men must sometimes cry out for justice with voices that shake heaven itself.

Week 26 – June 21, 2026 through June 27, 2026 This Week: Brothers, We’ve made it to the halfway point of the year. That in itself is a gift of God’s kindness. As you think back over the last six…

We live in a culture that tells men the path to authentic living runs straight through the heart — trust your gut, follow your feelings, be true to yourself. But the Bible delivers a verdict that cuts directly against this advice. Jeremiah 17:9 calls the heart deceitful above all things, and Jesus traces murder, adultery, and slander back to it. For men navigating a real crisis of identity and purpose, this isn't just theological trivia — it's a warning. The dangerous deception of heart-following has left a trail of broken marriages, abandoned responsibilities, and hollowed-out men. There is a better way, and it begins not with trusting yourself, but with surrendering to Christ.
